He'd been a sex god nine years ago, and he still was.  

Didn't sexual chemistry have an expiration date?  *snicker*  WOW!  I am so impressed with Linda’s writing & writing….style, I guess is the correct term!  This is my first book of hers and I cannot wait to read more!  It is very beautifully written with just the right amount of EVERYTHING to make it PERFECT!  I felt that this was my best friend’s story that I was reading because Viola is so relatable, so loveable, so funny…so REAL!  I love the “reality” of it all, the way that she laughs, what she laughs at & with Stephen, the fear, the tears, the way, how & why she is adventurous, willing to try new “things” both on her own but mostly with Stephen.  I thought that Stephen was awesome!  Loved the fact that even though he likes, or HAS to be, the Dom in the bedroom, he does NOT want that outside of it.  And the fact that he knows so much about it, the correct way etc. also shows his sweeter side.  Trust me!  After you read this book – which I think everyone should – you will understand what I mean!!!  I loved that they hooked up so quickly and that both sides talked about what had happened and who really was/is to blame and I just loved how real they both are.  The do those daily things that are usually not mentioned in book – when Rusty comes out to greet her, he sniffs her crotch – all dogs do that, but it is not normally mentioned.  It is the little things like that… okay, that is a funny example, I know, but I was trying to show that it is a book that pays attentions to all kinds of little things WITHOUT killing you with too much babble, and it all helps to enrich the story.  It is hard to explain because even I don’t fully understand just WHY I loved this book so much other than owing it all to Linda’s way of storytelling.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book even though no vampires were present (my fave hero)LOL  I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak, but I still was surprised at WHEN it did and HOW!  Not at all what I thought it would be which was also part of the charm!  Even though I do not normally pick a contemporary romance book as my first choice to read, I can’t wait to read about the rest of the group, especially Kate!  This story is not about first loves, second chances, conquering fear, learning to trust all over again, nor is it about romance, love, BDSM or a HEA – it is about ALL of that and more!!  All woven together perfectly to make one magically hot, sexy & beautiful romantic story from one author that has shown me just how talented she is!!  I am now a big fan of Linda Barlow and can’t wait to read her paranormal stories!  If she can make me love her contemporary novel – which is not a genre I normally will read but was definitely worth a 5 star review – then I cannot wait to see what is in store for me with the genre that I do love and read all the time!!  (update – I have now read 2 of Linda’s paranormal books and OH MY WORD!!!  She truly is one gifted author that can successfully write fascinatingly creative & unique books in either genre!!!)
