Indigo Rain by Taige Crenshaw

Book one in the Phoenix Intelligence Agency Series

When the legends of old are told, the life of humanity is tied to a book. And in the book is the resting place of the being that can herald Armageddon or our redemption…

Kalina Erutan does not save anyone. She is usually sent to eliminate the problems. The way she does it is by her own choosing. As an Assassin Agent for the Phoenix Intelligence Agency she lives by a special code of honour. The latest case she takes brings her face to face with her destiny, past and her possible future. Being an Amazonian Warrior she knows what is needed in any battle. Yet this time a wrong decision can mean the end of humanity and all the dimensions beyond.

Ryne Garon is known as the ghost. The most fearsome Assassin Agent until he left and became the co-division head of the tracker unit. His powers as a firebird have saved him and others. Yet when he is faced with the woman who is his destiny he loses all control. No one will stand in his way to claim Kalina Erutan as his own. Not even her aversion to his people. Them being paired together to find the most precious of artifacts that can bring on Armageddon tests all he believes and desires.

There is an Indigo Rain falling, washing the world in fire that will consume them or make them reborn…

WOW!!  Oh so heavenly!  At first I wasn't sure I wanted to read this given it was a shorter book - it's about 75 pgs - but I am sooooo glad I did!  (Yes, I know!  I have to learn to adapt, and just because of the number of words in a story, it does not dictate the awesomeness of it!)  So, really, size DOESN’T matter, right? *snicker*  This is such  fantastic story!  It has one amazingly unique cast of Paranormals and is set in a very FANTASMIC world.  When you combine all that together, well you get one helluva of an adventure that you do NOT want to see end!  I absolutely loved the creativity and uniqueness to the abilities, the cast of characters and the storyline!  It certainly is not anything I was expecting and isn’t that the best part!  Since I don’t want to give any spoilers, I will just say that I was surprised with some of the elements, cried a few times, but fully fell in love with Kalina and her worlds!  Even though it is shorter, it sure doesn't lack or want for anything!  In fact I was blown away with just how much story IS in here!  Now, don't you worry your pretty little reader mind or heart, even though there is a LOT involved, it is a storyline that not only can be followed with no problems, it will grab you & hold you until the very end!  Nothing is left out or added in for no reason, it is jam-packed with awesomeness!  I can’t help but get the feel that this “little” book is just one piece of a much larger storyline and I can’t wait to keep reading the series to see if I am correct!!  If this is a sample of the kind of stuff I can expect from Taige, well this avid little Paranormal reader & reviewer is going to madly one-click away and then hole herself up while escaping into all of the Taige Crenshaw Worlds & who won't be coming up for air until every last paranormal book has been read!  Heck!  Maybe even the others too!!
