What a precious treasure this book is!! I ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY love, Love, LOVE IT!!! I was so excited, BEYOND ECSTATIC when I heard that there was a new Beverly Ovalle dragon book coming out! I actually just finished reading Beverly's other 2 standalone Dragon books (for the umpteenth time!) - Dragon's Mate and Stealing Hope - and I completely love, Love, LOVE them both, but I have to say that A Dragon's Treasure has flown to the top as my favorite!! It has so much "laugh until you cry" humor. It's hot enough to melt my tablet. The heartbreak and sad moments had me bawling. The sweet & tender moments melted my heart. The suspenseful ones had me gnawing on my thumbs. Then there's the multifaceted characters who all add another layer to the story, regardless if they are the main characters or minor ones. The bossy, sexy as sin Kai. The sassy, spunky Connie. *dreamy sigh* I love them both to pieces, especially the way I get to not only read their story, but experience & live it with them too! The story itself is not only brought to life by Beverly's exceptional talent, but also by the way the rich, detailed storytelling enhances it all! I actually thought - more like hoped - my name was Connie for a moment or three... okay, pretty much every time Kai was involved! wink But what I love the most is how much story there is, the depth, the level of enrichment to all facets involved and how all of the different bits, parts, traits, aspects, etc. all blend beautifully & flawlessly together to create this Dragon Treasure of a story!! Connie thought maybe, just maybe she shouldn’t have poked the dragon. You’re going to kill me, but what a way to go. Kai kissed her like there was no tomorrow. There would be though, he would make sure of it.
